Game Designer – Digital Tales
Overview
SBK Official Mobile Game is a F2P mobile motorcycle racing game with the license of the official SBK championship.
It was developed to substitute the previous installments of the series to create a single game that would update roster and tracks with each season, to mirror the real-life counterpart.
I was part of the Game Design team and I worked on:
- Difficulty tuning
- Economy tuning
- Progression tuning
- AI Tuning
- Menu UX
Gameplay
The gameplay is pretty straightforward. The player can decide if they want to play single races or compete in a championship. When racing the bike components get damaged and lose performance. The player can obtain new components by buying them in the store (with either hard or soft currency) or as rewards for completing quests and events. A damaged component can be substituted with a new one to gain back the lost performance.
The player can choose between different difficulty levels: the harder the difficulty, the higher the rewards that the player is going to obtain.
The player can also decide what riding aids they want to turn on. Turning aids on will reduce the rewards obtained.
