Gameplay

In WEO the player can choose one of the heroes they own and use it to play different game modes (both PVE and PVP). Participating in these game modes gives rewards that can be used to craft gear to increase the power of the player’s heroes. They can also receive Experience Points to increase both the player’s and the hero’s level.

Additional heroes can be unlocked by playing.

There is also a real money shop to access unique items or to speed up the progress.

Heroes

Heroes are divided in multiple categories, each with its own specialization:

  • Bruiser: powerful melee heroes that are great at dealing damage while also being able to withstand some on their own.
  • Assassin: they deal a lot of damage in a short amount of time while trying to dodge incoming damage. They tend to die pretty fast if caught off-guard.
  • Mage: ranged magic damage dealers, usually glass cannons: they deal tons of damage but they die easily if something catches up with them.
  • Support: they specialize in buffing and healing other heroes. Mostly used in parties.
  • Protector: their focus is defense and crowd control. They don’t deal a lot of damage, but they are able to absorb most of the attacks thrown at them. They often have some kind of crowd control ability to block the enemy’s movements.
  • Marksman: ranged physical damage dealers. Similar to mages, they have a low resistance to damage but have a higher mobility. They deal most of their damage through their basic attacks rather than relying on skills.

Each hero has different skills:

  • Autoattack: always deals physical damage. Doesn’t require resources.
  • Skills: two different skills that can have a variety of effects, from buffs to AoE damage.
  • Ultimate: Powerful skill that usually has a long cooldown but has a very powerful effect.
